“Sport of curling is sweeping the South Shore” — The Patriot Ledger

“I actually thought it was the stupidest sport, because my dad did it,” said South Shore Curling Club president Russ Lemcke. “But when I moved to Cape Cod in 1998, I joined the Cape Cod Curling Club and was hooked. It’s the best team sport I’ve ever played.”

After seeing the success of curling clubs throughout the region, Lemcke decided to start the South Shore Curling Club in Bridgewater.
