Fall 2018 Monday Night Finals

Monday, December 10 was the night of our first-ever pointspiel finals for our Monday night league. This was very exciting for our club, not only because it’s the finals (!) but because it marked an important milestone for our successful expansion to a second night of curling.

The top 8 finishers of the 9-week pointspiel made up the teams: Sandy Mealey, Bob Gorham, Heather McIvor and Bob Knapp vs. Jamie Constantino, Jamie Hawley, Maryann Verria and Bill Hurley.

It was an evenly-matched, back-and-forth game, ending in a 5-5 tie after seven ends. This forced the skips to draw to the button for the win: Bob Gorham was too heavy on his shot, and Jamie Constantino was able to put this rock in the house for the win. It was an exciting game to end the fall season. Congratulations to Jamies, Maryann and Bill on a well-earned win!
