For the second time this week (and the second year in a row) the finals ended in a tie and came down to skips drawing to the button for the win!

The 2018 Broom & Button Cup finals had LeRoy Woodman, Scott Fernandes, Andrew Jussaume and Ben Woodman vs. Chris Robbins, Michelle Landry, Jonathan So and Chuck Barnes. Team Woodman took an early lead, but Team Barnes went into the final end behind by 2 with the hammer, and scored 2 to tie.

On to the high-pressure draw-to-the-button tiebreaker! Chuck’s shot ended up in the 8-foot, but LeRoy was too light on his delivery. Great game by everyone, and congratulations to Chuck, Michelle, Jonathan and Chris.

Meanwhile, the other sheets had some pick-up games, and one sheet had our first mixed doubles game (pitting the Zubers against the Chaplins). The night (and our fall season) ended with the ugly Christmas sweater lineup and our Yankee swap during broomstacking.
